Ottawa Chiropractor performing sidelying spinal manipulation to a patient's lower back.

Spinal manipulation is a Chiropractic technique that is used to reduce pain and improve range of motion. It is also commonly referred to as an “adjustment”.
Our Ottawa chiropractor uses Diversified Technique, which is characterized by a gentle, high-velocity & low amplitude, hand-directed thrust.  This gentle thrust is directed through a specific spinal or extremity joint that has restricted or painful movement.

Soft Tissue Therapy targets problems arising from the muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves.  Traumatic injuries, muscle imbalances, and overuse conditions can lead to the formation of scar tissue and adhesions within the soft tissues, resulting in decreased range of motion, loss of strength, and pain.
Dr. Konkle has received extensive training in Soft Tissue Therapy, including Myofascial Release Therapy, Active Release Techniques, and Trigenics Myoneural Medicine.

Kinesio Taping is a technique used to provide support and stability to an injured joint without restricting it's range of motion. The taping can provide neural feedback, reduce swelling, and increase circulation to the injured area. The tape used at Remedy will typically last for 3-5 days and is water-resistant.

Ottawa chiropractor Dr. Stephen Konkle offers custom foot orthotics produced through The Orthotic Group.

Custom Foot Orthotics may help prevent and treat localized foot pain, heel pain, knee pain, or back pain. Common conditions treated with orthotics include plantar fasciosis, Morton's neuroma, and patellofemoral pain syndrome. Prescription orthotics look similar to insoles but are custom made to correct your specific feet imbalances.
